Hi shooter.
Pity you not up my way, you'd have been welcome for first 4 boundary days. Hares, no problem. Can shoot them all year round, BUT, BIG BUT, if you not gonna eat em, why shoot em.
We just take what the guns want to take home, no more. Many, are just watched, they are amazing creatures, just great to see them run, with about 20 dogs, ALL called bastard, running hopelessly after them
Errr........... cos of the hunting law, please replace hare, with long eared snipe _________________ Nil illegitimi carborundum

What ever happened to the old trick of Hare shooting for a newcomer.
Yes you can shoot a hare only if you carry it
After about a mile or two they won't want to shoot another one. _________________ I do it Gun Down and Rod up !!!

@ Maxum,
Totally agree, on the little syndicate I shoot on you carry what you shoot. Makes you real selective, especially early season. helps keep a few around for january

Yes i learned the hard way all to eager at first.
Only shoot woodcock or snipe then carrying is not a problem. _________________ I do it Gun Down and Rod up !!!
