At the risk of becoming "Calam Fodder" a quick question for the lady shootists.

I have read various places that the butt pad on a gun for a lady should be straight. I have just got Mrs Fuzrat a lincoln 20 bore and the butt is quite curved, should I be out with the saw and put a flat pad on it?

Apparently a flat pad stops pinching at the top of the chesticles, surely a bloke with moobs would have this problem too.

Cheers, Fuzrat

The real issue here is that we are all not made the same.
There is no doubt in my mind that we would all benefit from having the gun correctly fitted to us,
This is especially important with ladies, the areas to concentrate on are,

Pitch (butt profile, the toe invariably, if pronounced ,digs into the top of the boob) answer is to reprofile the butt shape.

Comb this often is too low for ladies, it may need raising.

Stock length, often too long.

The answer therefore is to get someone who genuinely knows a thing or two about gunfit to have a look at the ladies gunfit.

But please remember the human body is a remarkably adaptable thing and it may well be that with correct stance, poise and balance, plus careful, thoughtful instruction and guidance, most ladies will adapt and acquit themselves very well.

Hey I forgot this thread, I made a Tone's adjuster for the Calam, she has shot better everytime with it. I will get her to put some pics up and explain the difference.
